The following persons petitioned the Governer of New York on 8 Jul 1761 for a Patent which came to be known as the "Schneider Patent". They were granted same on 24 Mar 1762 and soon after settled in that part of Rensselaer Co. which became known as Hoosick:

Nicholas Snyder of Hoosick died intestate. The letters of administration were issued on 1 Sep 1808 to Susannah Snyder, John Bovie, & John Ryan. At that time guardians were chosen for his minor chilren: Daniel Rogers guardian for Ulpianus Snyder and John Palmer guardian for Sarah Snyder, both children being under age 21.

Daniel Hallenbeck of Hoosick died intestate leaving his widow, Charity Hallenbeck and 12 children, two of whom were, Garret & Jacob Hallenbeck; three of whom were under the age of 21y; and others who had settled in different parts of the country - some in New York State and some elsewhere.
